As part of its ongoing efforts to care for and address the medical conditions of the dogs
seized last week, the Department of Agriculture (DOA) on Tuesday, May 14, invited the senior
veterinarians from the three longest established Veterinary practices, Cayman Animal Hospital,
Island Veterinary services and The Vet Clinic, to consult with the DOA’s veterinary staff on the
veterinary care of these animals. The veterinarians met with the DOA’s team at the Animal
Rescue Shelter on Wednesday afternoon.
The Department’s Sales Section will resume its normal opening hours from Friday 4th January, 2019.
The Administrative Offices of the Department will be open from Monday to Friday, 8:30am—5:00pm. On the half-days stated, the Administrative Offices will be open, 8:30—12:30pm.
Emergency large animal vet calls can be made to 916-2218 during the hours that the office is closed.

The Department of Agriculture (DOA) is expressing its gratitude for the public’s positive response to its appeal for homes for 16 Shih Tzu breed dogs between one and three years old after they were rescued from a home in George Town recently.
